4. You can write this only if, by virtue of your income, identity, or both, you are utterly removed from the consequences of politics. To pretend that the racist, misogynistic, anti-gay vileness that Kirk spent his life spreading is secondary to the fact that he spread it "the right way" is appalling.

I don't think setting out to ruin people's careers or their lives over either their political opinions on Twitter, or their scholarship, or their methodological choices in the classroom, is "doing politics the right way," but that's just my view. What it certainly isn't is defending "free speech."

5. It is quite simply dishonest to describe TPUSA as a “free speech” organization and not even mention the “Professor Watchlist,” as NPR just did. Reporting on a crime does not entail adopting the victim’s views.

7. Many of the newsheads trying to normalize Kirk now stayed VERY FAR AWAY from him when he was alive because their networks couldn't stomach the liability of promoting such obviously dangerous speech. There was a reason his "show" was on a bottom-rung conspiracy network.
