Out of morbid curiosity, I endured the premiere episode of the new incarnation of The Screen Savers. Here’s my review (I’m stealing a bit from a classic Bloom County strip): G4TechTV’s recently retooled The Screen Savers has brought the word “bad” to new levels of badness. This show just oozed rottenness from every bad segment… … Continue reading “The Screen Savers”
Those jerks from Pod Six have a website. Sealab 2021
As usual, the Super Bowl halftime show was absolutely dreadful. In my opinion, more nudity would have been an improvement.
Something like this has to happen: Station to Rerun ‘Average Joe’ Segment ST. LOUIS (AP) – After Missouri’s own Dick Gephardt finished fourth in the Iowa caucuses, the local NBC affiliate cut away from network programming to broadcast his speech. That didn’t sit so well with the Average Joe. Viewers jammed KSDK-TV’s switchboard and Web … Continue reading “Just when I started thinking Saint Louis was a good place to live…”
I view the potential return of UFO about the same as the return of Battlestar Galactica. I suppose it won’t be too long before someone tries to bring back Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.
Battlestar Galactica – They’re so bankrupt of ideas they’re starting to remake shows that sucked. On the bright side, it probably can’t be any worse than the original (OK, Galactica 1980 was worse). On the other hand, I’ll be impressed if the new Battlestar Galactica actually turns out to be good.
This would never have happened if Mr. Eugene H. Krabs was in charge of Red Lobster. From Joe Bob’s Week in Review: Edna Morris was booted as president of the Red Lobster restaurant chain after her all-you-eat crab dinner promotion triggered a sell-off of shares and wiped out $405.9 million of stock value in one … Continue reading “Mr. Krabs would not approve”
From BBC News: The much-awaited comeback will be written by acclaimed TV dramatist Russell T Davies – a self-confessed fan. Davies’ credits include hit dramas like Bob and Rose, Queer as Folk, The Second Coming, Touching Evil, and The Grand. Let’s hope the new Dr. Who doesn’t suck. Star Wars is adolescent nonsense; Close Encounters … Continue reading “Doctor Who Returns!”
If memory serves me correctly, I fortunately missed this dreck when it originally aired on UPN. Sadly, this weekend (July 19-20, 2003), the Food Network aired it in place of the real Iron Chef. Out of morbid curiosity, I subjected myself to the horror, known as Iron Chef USA. Honestly, I really can’t put my … Continue reading “_Iron Chef USA_ is an Unholy Abomination Straight from the Deepest Pit of Hell”
